Update on candidate nominations for Youth Advisors and the World Scout Committee
Nominations for Youth Advisors to the World Scout Committee are now closed, however Member Organization can still submit nominations for candidates to the World Scout Committee by the deadline of 25 June 2021. More information about the nomination process, criteria and virtual support to candidates is available on scoutconference.org/candidates and through this Circular. Please help to attract a diversity of candidates for nominations by sharing the video below with your local and national networks.

New resources to help Scouting get back to nature after the pandemic
After a challenging year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Scouts are getting ready to reconnect in-person and get back to enjoying activities again in nature with their Scout friends and groups. A new set of resources from World Scouting are now available to guide National Scout Organizations on how to reopen Scouting safely, and support the health and well-being of young people and volunteers along the way.
Make a promise to the planet in June
This June, celebrate World Environment Day and use the opportunity to encourage Scouts to take action for our planet. Discover how the Scouts for SDGs and the Earth Tribe initiative can complement your NSO’s Youth Programme, and get involved in a global campaign launching later in the month that will engage young people in making a “Promise to the Planet”. More details will be shared via World Scouting’s Global Communications Network and official WOSM channels.
Requesting a Centenary Diploma for your NSO
National Scout Organizations that have reached the 100-year milestone of Scouting this triennium can request a Centenary Diploma by 25 June 2021. In line with Conference Resolution 2008-27, appropriate recognition through the form of a Centenary Diploma will be given to National Scout Organizations at the time of the 42nd World Scout Conference to celebrate their anniversary and contribution to Scouting.

Save the date for JOTA-JOTI 2021
Save the date for this year’s Jamboree-on-the-Air and Jamboree-on-the-Internet (JOTA-JOTI) taking place from 15 to 17 October 2021. The world’s largest Scouting event online and over the airwaves will bring millions of young people together from around the world to connect, learn, make new friends and have fun! The theme of this year’s event will focus on young people’s contributions to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Watch the World Scouting and JOTA-JOTI communications channels for programme announcements coming in July and for all the latest updates!
