Solomon Islands Scout Association declared the 172nd Member Organization of WOSM
The Solomon Islands Scout Association (SISA) is declared the 172nd Member Organization of WOSM, effective as of 30 June 2021. Congratulations to all Scouts of the Solomon Islands, and thank you to the National Scout Organizations and volunteers who supported SISA’s journey to join the Scout Movement.
List of candidates nominated for voting members of the World Scout Committee
The list of candidates nominated by Member Organizations for voting members of the World Scout Committee is now available. Elections will take place at the 42nd World Scout Conference. The profiles of these candidates will be made available on scoutconference.org/candidates by 25 July 2021.
Reminder: Register for the World Scout Conference and Youth Forum
The deadline for registering for the Conference and Youth Forum is fast approaching on 15 July 2021. National Scout Organization Official Contacts received a personalised email communication and link to complete the registration for their delegations to both events. Registration to the events is free of charge, with the encouragement to make a donation to the Re-energising Scouting Fund. Details about the composition of delegations and the registration process can be found on scoutconference.org/

Scouts around the world make a Promise to the Planet
Scouts around the world are making a promise to improve the sustainability of our planet, and contribute towards a global agenda for environmental action leading up to the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) in the United Kingdom this November. Join us in a global Promise to the Planet campaign to encourage young people to take action for the environment, and log their individual and community projects on the Scouts for SDGs hub.
Scouting collaborates with sustainable musician and Eagle Scout, AY Young
To inspire more young people about the importance of sustainability, World Scouting is teaming up with artist and Eagle Scout, AY Young, one of the first musicians to power his concerts with 100% renewable energy and one of the 17 UN Young Leaders for the Sustainable Development Goals.
Update on bidders for future World Scout Events
Following Circulars 32/2019 and 04/2021, detailed information is now available about the bidders for future World Scout Events which will be decided on during the upcoming World Scout Conference. Highlights of their motivations to bid can be found through Conference Document 3 and by visiting their individual pages on scoutconference.org.

Do not miss the Q&A and discovery session about the Conference Draft Resolutions proposed by Member Organizations hosted on 10 July 2021 at 12:00 GMT in all WOSM languages.

Promoting peace and human rights education in Scouting
The peace and human rights education in Scouting resource aims to provide National Scout Organizations with guidance on how to build a culture of peace and promote human rights through their national Youth Programmes. The document offers a collection of tools for NSOs to assess how their Youth Programmes promote peace and human rights education, as well as practical resources and ready-to-use activities.
