Scouting advocates for progress on SDGs at UNGA 80

Scouts representing our Movement gathered last week in New York at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), where they urged governments, institutions, and partners to take action and prioritise solutions to tackle the most pressing issues facing young people today. During the event, World Scouting co-led sessions and participated in events with partners like SAP, Accenture, UNICEF’s Generation Unlimited, the Big Six Youth Organizations, and UN leaders to discuss topics including sustainable development, youth education, and safeguarding.

Africa Region concludes successful Youth Forum and Conference in Madagascar

Nearly 200 delegates and observers from 42 countries gathered in Madagascar for the 19th Africa Scout Conference and the 10th Africa Scout Youth Forum. Key outcomes included the adoption of the Regional Triennial Plan 2025-2028, the election of new Members and Youth Advisors to the Africa Scout Committee, as well as the selection of Niger as the host for the Africa Scout Jamboree in 2029, and Senegal for the next Conference and Youth Forum in 2028.

Scouts gather in Saudi Arabia for Messengers of Peace youth leadership event

Sixty Scouts from around the world and across Saudi Arabia gathered in Riyadh for three days of training and workshops on youth leadership, peace education, and innovation. They were joined by past Messengers of Peace awardees and partners for panel discussions, dialogues, and shared learning aimed at strengthening youth-led action for peace.
